Groundbreaking for Trianna, a 48-acre, mixed-use project at 13720 N. 88th Ave., has taken place. The six-parcel development will incorporate residential, retail, office and hotel land uses under one master-planned design. Phoenix-based Gray Development Group, the master developer, will build the multifamily apartment homes and the senior housing components. Infrastructure earthwork actually started in March, but the developer declared last Friday its groundbreaking date. "We decided to wait to have our 'official' groundbreaking celebration until every loose end was tied," said Jim Kiel, a Gray Development spokesman. Development has begun on the first parcel, which consists of Barossa at Trianna, a 246-unit apartment project. The apartments will range from 700 to 1,074 square feet. Construction also has started on Indigo at Trianna, a 485-unit with apartments ranging from 474 to 857 square feet. The developer plans to sell the hotel, retail and commercial office parcels to third parties to develop. Read more: |
